Welcome to “Siraj Al Darceen”

Love is one of the most important lessons our Torah (our Jewish heritage) teaches us. We are commanded to love our neighbors as we love ourselves (Leviticus 19:18), and that all people are our neighbors and brothers, whom we must love as we love ourselves. Since the Creator, gave humanity the intellect and full freedom to use it when He created us, the divine instinct compels us to use it for goodness and love. One of the most important duties entrusted to us by Him is to build good and loving relationships with all people, regardless of their religion or nationality.

“Siraj Al Darceen” is a Jewish website presented in the Arabic language and directed at the Arab world. Its goal is to provide Arabic speakers with a clear understanding of Jewish religion, culture, and history, based on trusted Arabic sources and other sources translated into Arabic. Understanding and respecting beliefs and issues are among the most important means of building trust between people, and we hope this website achieves its goal of promoting mutual respect, tolerance, and harmony among all religions and peoples.

Given the current events unfolding around the world, particularly in the Arab region and even more specifically in Israel, and with technology now serving as a new gateway for communication between people, there has arisen a true and urgent need for a website not just focused on Israel, but on the Jewish religion, the Jewish people—both Eastern and Western—and presenting this to the Arab world, which still lacks a complete understanding of Jews as a people and Judaism as a religion. This website, although in its early stages of development, can be seen as one of the first steps towards fostering closer ties between Arabs and Jews. All peoples must renew their thinking about their relationships with others and strive to always spread love, tolerance, and understanding. This cannot be achieved unless every people gets to know the faith, beliefs, and traditions of others and respects them. When the Creator, created humanity, He made them different in their thoughts and customs, for the flourishing of the world, the enrichment of life, and the advancement of humanity and society cannot happen without this diversity.

The Jewish people have always sought to live in harmony with the rest of Noah’s descendants, that is, with all their brothers. This has materialized in recent decades, particularly with Christians. We hope this website benefits schools, synagogues, mosques, and churches in the Arab world, helping clarify the Jewish religion and related topics, supported by reliable evidence and references.

May it be Your will, our Lord, to uproot hatred from our hearts and end all wars in the world. O God, replace it with an abundance of love in our hearts. Let peace, harmony, calm, and security prevail throughout the world, by Your will.

Note: Our goal is not to encourage people to convert to Judaism. According to our faith, anyone can enter paradise as long as they are righteous, and one does not need to be Jewish to do so. For this reason, Judaism is not a proselytizing religion.
